CASE Wichita Plant Produces 300,000th CASE Skid Steer/CTL

CASE Construction Equipment announces that its manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kansas has produced its 300,000th CASE skid steer/compact track loader. The commemorative edition TR270 compact track loader rolled off the production line on March 13th, 2017 and will be shipped to Southeastern Equipment Co. in Brunswick, Ohio.

Established in 1974, the 11+ acre Wichita facility houses both skid steer loader and compact track loader product manufacturing, as well as dedicated research and development. The plant recently received a Silver Level World Class Manufacturing (WCM) certification. WCM is one of the global manufacturing industry’s highest standards for the integrated management of manufacturing plants and processes. It is a pillar-structured system based on continuous improvement, designed to eliminate waste and loss from the production process by identifying objectives such as zero injuries, zero defects, zero breakdowns and zero waste.

CASE Introduces SV208 Single Drum Vibratory Compactor for Soil Compaction Applications

CASE Construction Equipment introduces the new SV208D single drum vibratory compactor – compatible with both smooth and padfoot drums. With best-in-class centrifugal forces, a self-adjusting torque control system and the most climbing power in the industry, the SV208D is built for industry-leading performance in tough terrain.

The SV208D is able to climb grades of up to 65 percent due to a low-center-of-gravity axle-free design and a high-traction hydrostatic drive system that provides constant power to the wheels and drum with an electronic self-adjusting torque control system. The machine’s new 74.3 horsepower Tier 4 Final engine also delivers greater torque than previous models.

CASE Expands D Series with CX245D SR Minimum-Swing Excavator

CASE Construction Equipment has introduced the all-new CX245D SR minimum-swing radius excavator to its D Series lineup. Designed to provide increased digging and lifting power in confined work areas, the CX245D SR features a compact counterweight and modified boom placement that minimizes the machine’s footprint, resulting in a highly productive and maneuverable excavator that’s ideal for restricted conditions, such as road and bridge work, residential projects and urban construction.

With an operating weight of 60,400 pounds and a 160 HP Tier 4 Final engine, the CX245D SR offers increased bucket digging forces (up to 34,600 pounds) and lift capacity (up to 22,950 pounds) compared to the previous model.

Making the Grade: The Benefits of 2D Machine Guidance and Control Systems

When it comes to machine guidance and control technologies, most people think of large site prep and road building projects – but it’s not just for large dirt-moving applications. Whether it’s flatwork prep, trenching, foundation work or underwater dredging, a 2D precision solution can have an immediate impact on a contractor’s bottom line.

When discussing 2D machine guidance or control, it is first important to understand that 2D systems can involve a few different setups and operational considerations. Here is a quick review of those systems:

CASE Launches Combination Vibratory Roller

CASE Construction Equipment introduces the new DV45CC combination vibratory roller. The new vibratory roller compacts with the front drum and delivers a smooth finish with the rear pneumatic tires. An offset drum with tapered edge and high curb clearance offers precision compaction capabilities in tight spaces; and adjustable scrapers, an automatic vibration control system and a pressurized water system ensure a smooth, clean finish in a variety of asphalt applications.

With an operating weight of 10,296 pounds and drum width of 54 inches, the DV45CC is ideal for walkways, residential driveways, bike paths, tennis courts and small parking lots.

CASE Introduces CX290D Material Handler and CX290D Scrap Loader for Waste and Scrap Applications

CASE Construction Equipment has introduced two all-new crawler excavators to its D Series lineup: the CX290D material handler and CX290D scrap loader. With an operating weight of 72,100 pounds and lift capacities of up to 24,650 pounds, each purpose-built model is designed specifically for use with grapples, magnets, shears and other attachments used in the scrap and waste industries, and offers several key features that fine-tune the machines for material handling and scrap loading applications.

The CX290D material handler features a 177 HP Tier 4 Final engine, a hydraulically controlled elevating cab, longer arm and boom with optimized hydraulic circuits for improved attachment performance and reduced shock in the cab, as well as an electronic sensor-driven anti-interference device that automatically prevents the grapple or other attachments from coming into contact with the machine’s structure during operation. The CX290D also features additional guarding on the cab and undercarriage designed to protect the operator and machine during tough waste and scrap handling applications. The scrap loader version features a goose-neck arm and a straight boom configuration for dedicated scrap loading applications.

CASE Launches All-New Mini Excavator Line with Six New Models

CASE Construction Equipment introduces six new mini excavators: the CX17C, CX26C, CX33C, CX37C, CX57C and CX60C. This new offering expands the CASE mini excavator lineup to its broadest range of sizes ever, and provides a more comprehensive and feature-driven compact excavator solution to the construction, landscaping, utility and rental markets.

The CX57C and CX60C provide greater power and performance than any previous CASE mini excavators, and offer best-in-class horsepower.

CASE Introduces the DL450 – the Industry’s First-Ever Fully Integrated Compact Dozer Loader

CASE Construction Equipment introduces the DL450 compact dozer loader – AKA “Project Minotaur” – a first-of-its-kind fully integrated design that matches the best operating characteristics of a compact track loader (CTL) with a crawler dozer. A launch/production date for the machine has not been confirmed, but CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 represents a new and advanced phase in product development with extensive voice of customer work being conducted at the show and with top contractors.

“In 1957, we changed the industry with the introduction of the first-ever fully integrated backhoe loader,” says Scott Harris, vice president – North America, CASE Construction Equipment. “The DL450 compact dozer loader represents that same forward-thinking and practical innovation, but in an exciting new platform that provides a real benefit to contractors – from landscapers looking to step up their grading and earthmoving game, to residential and commercial contractors looking for versatility and dual-function in a single footprint.”

CASE “Team Rubicon Disaster Response SV340” to be Unveiled at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017

CASE Construction Equipment will unveil the “Team Rubicon Disaster Response SV340” at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 in booth N11825 (North Hall). This special edition of the company’s most powerful skid steer, the SV340, will travel to promote the CASE partnership with Team Rubicon and deploy to training and support events throughout the country.

“This special-edition SV340 embodies the sense of community service, patriotism and veteran workforce development that is at the core of the relationship between CASE and Team Rubicon,” says John Dotto, brand marketing manager, CASE Construction Equipment. “We’ve taken our largest and most powerful skid steer and added specialty guarding, storage, safety and attachment features that align with the work Team Rubicon does in the field. This skid steer is a great ambassador for the partnership, and will be a force multiplier when deployed alongside Team Rubicon volunteers.”

CASE to Donate more than $175,000 in Materials to Habitat for Humanity from CONEXPO Exhibit

CASE Construction Equipment will donate more than $175,000 in materials to Habitat for Humanity from its exhibit at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017. This includes 40,000 square feet of carpeting and padding and 5,634 square feet of finished plywood paneling. Habitat for Humanity, a leading global nonprofit that works in more than 1,400 communities throughout the United States and 70 countries worldwide, will put the materials to use on home building projects throughout the U.S.

CASE has partnered with exhibit provider Steelhead Productions to deploy a booth structure that will be re-used by other vendors for future events – and all marketing materials, signage and branding from the booth will be repurposed at CASE facilities and dealerships throughout North America. The goal: leave almost zero impact on landfills and waste services from the company’s exhibit at one of the world’s largest trade shows.
