Clay County, West Virginia Wins CASE Dire States Grant

CASE Construction Equipment has announced Clay County, West Virginia as the winner of the 2021 Dire States Grant. Representatives of the county will receive $25,000 in free equipment rental from CASE that will be supported locally by State Equipment

Clay County was awarded the grant to repair grounds and facilities that were initially damaged in heavy flooding in June 2016. More than 500 homes were destroyed in that event, and local resources that provided food and services to residents have been closed due to ongoing water and sewer issues. This includes the recent closing of the local Nutrition Center, as well as the continued flooding of local parks and recreational areas. The ongoing fallout has been particularly hard on the region, with business closings and no grocery store currently open in the county. FEMA estimated at the time that the county sustained more than $8.5 million in roadway damage.

Ford Asphalt Company Expands Fleet with Next Generation of CASE Skid Steers

Ford Asphalt Company has provided commercial asphalt and concrete paving services to the St. Louis Metro area since the company was founded in 1975. Over the years, Ford has built a long list of repeat clients that continue to call on the company for quality paving work. In fact, more than 90 percent of the company’s work is repeat business.

Randy White of St. Louis-based CASE dealer Luby Equipment attributes this kind of longevity and success to positive leadership. “I think that it starts with the owner of the company (Bruce Ford) and how they treat their employees, and then that is reflected in their work,” says White. “It’s a people business. And when somebody at the top treats their people well, it’s just completely reflective of their day-to-day operations and work.”
