CASE Employees Support “Women Build” Event

Habitat build draws attention to inequality in homebuying process for women; the CNH Industrial Foundation is presenting sponsor for the event.

CASE Construction Equipment employees are volunteering as part of Racine Habitat for Humanity’s first ever “Women Build” project — a Racine homebuilding project drawing particular attention to housing inequality and the challenges faced by women who are first-time homebuyers. Each home is priced at fair market value, and loans are interest free with mortgage payments targeted to be below 30 percent of the homeowner’s monthly income.

“We are committed to supporting more affordable housing opportunities, and fully support diversity, equity and inclusion in our communities,” says Athena Campos, CNH Industrial Foundation board member, and also head of market development, CASE Construction Equipment. “We see the Women Build project as something that is extremely beneficial for Racine, and critically important in building strong and resilient communities that support family growth and development.”

CASE Construction Equipment donates Skid Steer to Habitat for Humanity

CASE Construction Equipment has donated a skid steer to Wichita Habitat for Humanity, expanding the manufacturer’s relationship with the international non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives through affordable home ownership. Globally, Habitat for Humanity has helped build, renovate and repair more than 600,000 decent, affordable houses sheltering more than 3 million people worldwide.

“This incredibly versatile machine will add efficiency and safety, and help meet many of the special challenges we face when working on urban infill lots in Wichita,” says Ann Fox, executive director, Wichita Habitat for Humanity. “The skid steer will be used to clear dead trees, concrete and brush from vacant lots. It also will manage dirt work, grade, unload and move construction materials and help set trusses. In the past large groups of volunteers would be assembled to do this work, or equipment was loaned or rented – adding complexity to scheduling.”

CASE Dealer Ina Store Supports Team Rubicon and Habitat for Humanity for Baldwin, Michigan Veterans’ Village

CASE Construction Equipment dealer Ina Store supplied a compact track loader and grapple bucket to Team Rubicon for a land clearing project in Baldwin, Michigan. The site will be developed by Habitat for Humanity of Lake County Michigan into a new Veterans Village development that provides 850-to-1,000-square-foot homes for qualified veterans, active military and spouses of those who have served.

Team Rubicon deployed sawyer teams and heavy equipment operators to clear the area, allowing the first phase of the project to move forward.

CASE to Donate more than $175,000 in Materials to Habitat for Humanity from CONEXPO Exhibit

CASE Construction Equipment will donate more than $175,000 in materials to Habitat for Humanity from its exhibit at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017. This includes 40,000 square feet of carpeting and padding and 5,634 square feet of finished plywood paneling. Habitat for Humanity, a leading global nonprofit that works in more than 1,400 communities throughout the United States and 70 countries worldwide, will put the materials to use on home building projects throughout the U.S.

CASE has partnered with exhibit provider Steelhead Productions to deploy a booth structure that will be re-used by other vendors for future events – and all marketing materials, signage and branding from the booth will be repurposed at CASE facilities and dealerships throughout North America. The goal: leave almost zero impact on landfills and waste services from the company’s exhibit at one of the world’s largest trade shows.
