Miller-Bradford & Risberg Supports Team Rubicon in Response to Severe Storm Damage in Northeast Wisconsin

CASE Construction Equipment dealer Miller-Bradford & Risberg supported Team Rubicon’s second wave of response to severe storms that originally hit the area in July 2019, including five tornadoes, that caused severe damage across Langlade and Oconto Counties in northeast Wisconsin.

The severe storms and tornadoes uprooted or snapped tens of thousands of trees, devastating wide swaths of forest land. Areas sustaining significant damage included recreational areas such as ATV and snowmobile trails that are important to the tourism economy in the area — especially throughout the winter. During the 10-day operation, 76 Team Rubicon volunteers worked to clear dozens of miles of recreational trails, many of which were completely unpassable.

CASE Dealer Miller-Bradford & Risberg Donates Two Compact Track Loaders to Team Rubicon for Patriot North National Training Exercise

CASE Construction Equipment dealer Miller-Bradford & Risberg provided Team Rubicon with a pair of compact track loaders to complete community service projects, multi-agency training drills and operator training during the Patriot North ‘19 event.

The event, based at Camp Douglas and Volk Field Air National Guard Base in Juneau County, Wisconsin, included more than 70 Team Rubicon representatives and hundreds more from National Guard units, the Salvation Army and other emergency response organizations.

Miller-Bradford & Risberg Donates Equipment to Team Rubicon for Site Development Project at Boy Scouts of America’s Camp Long Lake

CASE Construction Equipment dealer Miller-Bradford & Risberg donated the use of an excavator and a skid steer to Team Rubicon for a service project and training session May 6-7, 2017 at the Boy Scouts of America’s Camp Long Lake in St. Cloud, Wisconsin.

The site is operated by the Potowatomi Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. The project featured Team Rubicon heavy equipment operators and sawyer teams training with equipment and chainsaws to sharpen their skills for use on future disaster relief deployments. The group forested and cleared a new 40,000-square-foot pad at the camp that will serve as the base area for a future all-terrain vehicle program.

CASE, Miller-Bradford & Risberg, and Paladin Attachments Assist Team Rubicon in Heavy Equipment Operator Training; Building Demolition at Patriot Exercise 2016

CASE Construction Equipment and Miller-Bradford & Risberg provided equipment and product/training support to Team Rubicon as part of Patriot Exercise 2016, a full-scale training exercise at Volk Field Air National Guard Base July 16 – 23, 2016. Team Rubicon provided Incident Management Team support, as well as field-based response support through damage assessments, and chainsaw and heavy equipment operations/training.

Miller-Bradford and CASE provided skid steers, excavators and compact excavators, as well as training support, while Paladin Attachments supplied skid steer grapple buckets, for Team Rubicon’s heavy equipment training program. A total of 89 Team Rubicon members participated in the event with 15 of those participating in the heavy equipment program. Training focused on the safe operation and maintenance of equipment, followed by operator proficiency training involving clearing brush and debris, and building demolition – core elements of Team Rubicon’s disaster response work.
